Incorporate budgetary information and financial decisions to manage a given budget

May demonstrate subject matter expertise in one or two disciplines

Demonstrate the ability to coach assigned employees on practices that demonstrate a commitment to exemplary customer service

Demonstrate the ability to coach assigned employees to recognize relationships between individual assignments and the unit’s goals and mission
Review completed work of others to verify technical soundness and adherence to deadlines

Define work objectives, plans, priorities and deadlines and assign tasks appropriately

Delegate routine tasks to others

Ensure staff are trained on the completion of more difficult procedures and initiatives

Exercise independence and autonomy within the limits defined by departmental/ divisional policies and guidelines
Coach, mentor and motivate staff on a fair and consistent basis to achieve goals as agreed to with supervisor

Demonstrate the ability to develop and implement practices that ensure assigned employees demonstrate a commitment to providing exemplary customer service

Demonstrate the ability to coach employees to recognize the relationships between individual assignments, the unit’s goals and mission, and the University’s goals and missions
Review completed work of others for conformity to policy, and effectiveness of approach

Develop departmental and/or divisional policy and strategic direction within guidelines of unit’s objectives

Demonstrate advanced knowledge of emerging technologies and their application to unit or multiple-unit processes

Demonstrate advanced knowledge in project management principles, methods and practices, including developing plans and schedules, estimating resource requirements, defining milestones and deliverables, monitoring activities, and evaluating and reporting on accomplishments

Demonstrate the ability to evaluate and enhance departmental / divisional / unit customer service practices

Demonstrate the ability to develop plans to incorporate the unit and/or University’s goals and mission into all levels of responsibility
