Jennifer Clouser is currently working as a Program Coordinator for Workplace Learning & Performance. In her current role, she coordinates Finance & Business New Employee Orientation & Reception, supports the YOU@PSU process and tool, & provides administration and support for the Learning Resource Network. Jennifer is responsible for gathering data and creation of internal & external reports. In addition to her duties of coordinating workplace learning programs, Jennifer also supports Consulting Services with data gathering, analysis, and reporting. Prior to joining Penn State, Jennifer was a Quality Manager, focusing on continuous quality improvements, report generation, and internal auditing. She created a Quality Management System and achieved the ISO 9001 certification for her employer. Jennifer earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from Northwood University in Midland, Michigan. Jennifer is married with 4 children, 2 step-children and 2 grandchildren. She enjoys traveling, boating, sewing, and spending time with family and friends.

Susan E. Cromwell is currently serving as Penn State’s Director of Workplace Learning and Performance. As part of the overall Office of Human Resources team, Dr. Cromwell is responsible for leading the University’s learning and performance management initiatives. This includes collaborating with University-wide partners to assess and implement training, organizational development, and performance management programs, processes, and initiatives that will enhance individual, group, and organizational potential. Prior to joining Penn State Human Resource team, Sue served as Senior Director of Talent Management for Outreach. In this position, Dr. Cromwell was responsible for Human Resources, Strategic Planning, Organizational Effectiveness, Professional Development, Internal Communications, and Diversity Initiatives. Previous experiences at the University include serving as Assistant Manager for the Human Resource Development Center, Office of Human Resources. In this position, she planned, coordinated, and presented professional development programs for University faculty, and staff, and provided consulting services to University teams and departments. She also worked in Staff Development for Penn State Cooperative Extension, College of Agricultural Sciences as a Training and Development Specialist. Prior to joining Penn State in 1995, Susan served as Regional Human Resource Manager, Manager of Management Development, and Manager of Recruitment for Agway, Inc., Syracuse, NY. Susan also held positions with the Pennsylvania Department of Education, Highmark Blue Shield, and in two school districts as a teacher. Dr. Cromwell received her PH.D (2000) from The Pennsylvania State University in Workforce Education and Development. She has a M.Ed. from Penn State and a B.S. from Delaware Valley College.

As an Industrial Engineer, Bob's specialty is applying work analysis methods in the administrative setting. Serving as the University’s lead internal management consultant in the Office of Human Resources since 1997, Bob has accumulated experience and insight on the intricacies of departmental operations. He has performed organizational studies for a wide variety of Penn State administrative and academic units ranging in size from small research centers to College-wide staff support assessments. In recent years, Bob has been highly active in assisting Colleges and academic departments meet the challenges of staff re-structuring initiatives resulting from the University Core Council recommendations. Prior to joining Office of Human Resources, Bob was a facility manager for Penn State Auxiliary Services and served in the U.S Air Force as an Industrial Engineering Officer. Bob served as the President of the Central PA Chapter of the Institute of Industrial Engineers.

Stephanie Flanagan, a member of the Workplace Learning & Performance team, is responsible for all aspects of Performance Management for Penn State staff employees. Prior to her arrival at Penn State, Steph was an OD Director at MTV Networks where she was responsible for supporting individual, team and organizational effectiveness, as well as leading the company-wide Orientation, Mentoring and Diversity Awareness Level One initiatives. She graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelors degree in Speech Communications and Recreations & Parks- Commercial Tourism. She also holds a Master’s Degree in Positive Organizational Development and Change from Case Western Reserve University—where she learned ways to bring Appreciative Inquiry into everyday life. While not working, Steph enjoys spending time with her family, reading, hiking and volunteering.

Mary Ann Harvey is an Education Program Assistant in Workplace Learning and Performance. She joined the team in January 2015. Mary Ann will be focused on supporting all of the certificate programs offered through (WLP), as well as being a liaison for the unit marketing efforts. Prior to joining this group she worked in the Penn State College of Agricultural Sciences Extension Directors office. Mary Ann earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Kutztown University. She is a native of Philadelphia and a fan of many sports, but her love for the game of lacrosse has been a lifelong passion. Mary Ann is the Director for girls programs at Centre Lacrosse, the first youth lacrosse organization in the area, which she helped to start in 2008 shortly after moving to State College from Silver Spring MD. Mary Ann is married and has two children.

Christy Helms is the Interim Manager for Leadership and Management Programs in the Office of Human Resources, Workplace Learning and Performance. In this role, she oversees development and delivery of certificate programs designed to provide supervisors, leaders and managers at Penn State with the skills and information they need to excel in their roles and meet their personal development objectives. Prior to joining Penn State, Christy served in a variety of management and organizational effectiveness roles for businesses that included Vitesse Learning, Thomson Prometric and Education Development Center. In her spare time, Christy enjoys reading and spending time with her husband and 4 children. She holds a B.A. in Communications and Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.

Kiersten is a Program Coordinator in Workplace Learning and Performance. She joined the team in 2012 shortly after earning her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Telecommunications from Penn State. She is responsible for the coordination of all scheduled and requested programs, and New Employee Orientation, allowing her the opportunity to frequently work closely with other departments and the Commonwealth campuses. In addition to coordinating program logistics, she is also responsible for communications and marketing, as well as maintaining the technology within the department. She can be often found at a Penn State football game or Penguins hockey game with her husband as she is an avid fan of all things Penn State and Pittsburgh sports! WE ARE!
