Supervision Series

About the Progam

The Supervision Series is a two-level developmental program designed to provide anyone with supervisory responsibility at Penn State – all position levels -  with the skills and information they need to successfully guide the work of others. Both levels of the series focus on Penn State competencies and values, incorporate proven strategies for success in this crucial role, and provide participants with an opportunity to share best practices and network with others. This program includes a blend of structured seminars, webinars, self-guided learning and peer consulting to meet a range of learning styles.

In the Level 1 series, we focus on the development of the individual. We focus on the foundational skills and information an individual at Penn State must have to successfully navigate the role of a supervisor.

In the Level 2 series we expand our conversations to explore ways in which the supervisor extends their influence to drive workplace effectiveness and culture.

Sessions are led by subject matter experts internal and external to Penn State.
